About "Student of The Week"

Each week we will acknowledge one special person, our “Student of the Week”. The criteria will be based on having a positive attitude and solid attendance. The “Student of the Week” will be awarded a certificate, plus their photo up at Sityodtong, USA, on the website and on Facebook. He or she will also be eligible for the coveted title of, “Student of the Year”. Get in it to win it!

IFS Muay Thai Quarterfinals (07/31/10): Andrew "Sawntee" Santhivong and Nick Kosovich Win!

Team Sityodtong LA Wrecking Crew - Muay Thai. Andrew Santhivong July 31, 2010. Four fighters have advanced to the semi-finals in the IFS 16-man Muay Thai tournament: Andrew Santhivong (Team Sityodtong L.A.), Jason Gonzales, Sevak Ohanjanian and Raymond Mendiaz will all compete to earn their spot in the Final and potentially be crowned the tournament champion.

RESULTS:

Andrew Santhivong a.k.a. Sawntee Sityodtong (Team Sityodtong L.A.) defeats Edwin Avila by TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at 1:17 of the 2nd round.
Nick Kosovich (Team Sityodtong L.A.) defeats Max Quintero by Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, and 28-29).

Two K.O. Wins by Team Sityodtong LA Wrecking Crew at the IFS (03/20/10). Kru Walter was awarded "Best Foreigner Muay thai Instructor"

Kru Walter Michalowski receiving the Best Foreigner Muay Thai Instructor award March 20, 2010. Two fighters from Sityodtong LA, Sinahy Luna and Andrew Santhivong, both win their fights at the International Fight Showdown - 16 Men Tournament at Knott's Berry Farm Resort Hotel, Buena Park, CA.

This event is sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission and WMC (World Muay Thai Council) of America. Sinahy Luna wins by KO (knees and punches) at 1:40 of the first round over Olavi Naar (Muay Thai School USA). Andrew Santhivong wins by TKO (ref. stop) at 0:39 of the third round over Ghaith Daker (Piston Gym). On the same night, Kru Walter "Sleeper" Michalowski received an award for "Best Foreigner Muay Thai Instructor".

Jules Wallace Wins by K.O in Round 2 at the 2010 Songkran Festival, Hollywood, CA

April 4, 2010. Jules Wallace from Team Sityodtong LA Wrecking Crew wins his first Muay Thai fight in a convincing fashion knocking out his opponent in the second round (knee) at the 2010 Songkran Festival (Thai New Year) in Thai Town/Hollywood, CA.
